Piezosurgery
Piezosurgery is an innovative bone surgery technique for use in maxillofacial and dental surgery, implantology and periodontics.
Piezosurgery has advantages over traditional surgical techniques. The technique allows micrometric cutting, characterised by exceptional precision and safety.
The use of piezosurgery limits the loss of bone tissue and the destruction of surrounding soft tissues. It allows selective cutting, only of mineralised hard tissue without destroying other delicate anatomical structures.
The surgical field is almost completely free of blood. Piezoelectric surgical techniques make it possible to easily and safely perform bone chip and bone block extraction procedures, which are essential in many augmentation procedures that precede dental implant procedures.
Excellent results with piezosurgery are obtained in alveolar splitting, sinus lift and osteodistraction procedures, preparing the atrophied alveolar process for the dental implant procedure. The precision of this surgical technique allows excellent results to be obtained and the tissue sparing speeds up the healing process.
For the Patient this means:less swelling, less postoperative pain, more comfort during the procedure itself.
