Implant surgery

Implant surgery is a discipline of dentistry that focuses on the restoration of the root of a missing tooth using an intramedullary implant, such as a dental implant. It is currently the best alternative for missing teeth.

It is important that implants are placed in clinics that deal with dental surgery on a daily basis.

Why? This is because, in many cases, the implant procedure requires surgical preparatory procedures of varying degrees, such as:

  • Bone regeneration of the alveolar process with membranes, bone-forming and bone-replacement preparations
  • Bone grafts to restore the alveolar process
  • Surgical bony extensions along with soft tissue proliferation (Osteodistraction)
  • Bone splitting in cases of overly narrow alveolar processes associated with post-extraction bone loss
    (Splitting, spreading)

AT UNIDENT UNION® we perform implant surgical procedures of varying degrees.

We deal with both immediate implant placement and early and late implantology (Implantology).

We design metamorphoses of smiles based on implant-supported dentures, implant-supported crowns and bridges (Implantoprosthetics).

We combine implantology with pre-implant orthodontics to restore a correct bite and an aesthetic smile using several techniques (Preimplantation orthodontics).

Reconstructing missing teeth with implants is also part of therapies related to tooth displacement that causes periodontal conditions, which patients call periodontitis.
