Splitting, spreading
After tooth loss, there is physiological atrophy of the alveolar process, which worsens over time and is an obstacle to overcome most often with late implantology.
A narrow alveolar process is not a limitation for implant procedures at UNIDENT UNION®, as we are able to restore lost bone tissue in this dimension as well.
In cases of insufficient width of the alveolar process, with a satisfactory height, we use the SPLITTING, SPREADING bone splitting technique to perform the correct dental implant procedure.
The split bone lamellae create space to create a stable bed for the implant between them.
This surgical technique is complemented by the use of Bio-Oss and bone chips placed in the cleft fissure to predictably determine the extent and quality of expansion of the lost bone
(Bone regeneration using biomaterials).
The technique used in our clinic is very helpful for this method piezosurgery. Thanks to its use, traumatisation of bone tissue during cutting is minimal compared to conventional cutting tools (drills, chisels, saws). The advantage of this technique is that it can be used in clinical cases where the use of conventional cutting tools is risky or even impossible.
