Pre-prosthetic orthodontics
- Not filling missing teeth in time and poor prosthetics changes the compactness - deepening the bite. This has a destructive effect on the jaw system and provokes a lot of pain in the head, neck and back area, as it disturbs the function of the temporomandibular joints. Patients with a lowered height of the stapes observe, among other things, abrasion of the front teeth.
- In order to restore missing teeth and replace prosthetic work, it is first necessary to change the occlusal conditions to the correct ones. Only then can we speak of dental restoration. Performing prosthetics without raising the height of the stapes is a malpractice that will result in further tooth destruction and degeneration of the temporomandibular joints.
In our clinic, patients with reduced stenosis height are fitted with orthodontic appliances prior to prosthetic treatment.
- Prosthodontic therapy carried out together with orthodontics results in all teeth (own teeth and crowns) being correctly occluded in the triads, without abrasion, shifting or cracking.
- Patients stop complaining of headaches, back pain and neck pain after raising the height of the compact, as there is decompression in the temporomandibular joints.
