Obviously, in the case of extensive defects, the best therapeutic results are obtained by using autogenous (own) bone tissue (Bone grafts)but in many cases we are able to avoid the patient-burdening procedure of taking blocks or bone chips.

The most established product for this purpose is the bone substitute Bio-Oss. The use of barrier membranes, such as collagen-based Bio-Gide or Osseo-Guard, or autogenous PRF (When bones are missing - the use of membranes)The mucosal separation and shielding of the restoration guarantee a very high success rate and durability of the procedures performed.
The use of bone substitute biomaterials:
- In the treatment of periodontal disease - restoration of bone and ligamentous apparatus of teeth, destroyed by bacteria in plaque and tartar (causing periodontal inflammation)
- Therapy of periapical root lesions
- After extraction to fill the alveolus with a material that accelerates the recovery of the normal bone structure, especially before the planned implant placement in the defect area
- As part of implantation to increase bone thickness and height when the patient's anatomical alveolar process is not promising for proper implant placement
