Instead of orthodontics
Bonding is considered as a substitute for orthodontics when the patient expects aesthetic changes but does not accept the fitting of braces.
There is a group of patients who - for various reasons - choose not to undergo orthodontic treatment. For such people, bonding can be a kind of "trick" to hide or reduce the visibility of defects in tooth alignment.
Dr. stom. Iwona Gnach performs bonding as a substitute for orthodontic treatment in the case of minor malocclusions, usually only related to the misalignment of individual teeth.
Attention!
It should be borne in mind that such replacement therapy allows only an aesthetic improvement in the appearance of the dentition and does not correct defects causing functional impairment of the stomatognathic system.
Using bonding, the UNIDENT UNION team®
- eliminates the visibility of asymmetries in the alignment of teeth
reduces the visibility of the rotation of individual teeth
improves smile harmony despite malocclusion
enables patients with malocclusion to accept their own appearance
Camouflaging malocclusion most often involves combining bonding with a tooth contouring technique, i.e. grinding away a small amount of enamel where teeth are too long or asymmetrically shaped. The discreet change takes place only within the enamel and is completely safe for the dentition, and often has a very great aesthetic effect.
