One-step smile aesthetic improvement

Bonding is a full-fledged one-step method of improving the aesthetics of the smile.

If the patient is looking for a quick smile makeover performed directly in the dental chair during a single visit,...

If the patient is looking for a cost-effective solution in terms of price....

If the patient does not want the procedure to involve interference with the enamel ...

If the condition of the teeth does not require much intervention (correct bite, complete dentition, etc.)....

dr. stom. IWONA GNACH RECOMMENDS BONDING AS A ONE-STEP METAMORPHOSIS

The method consists of camouflaging natural and acquired aesthetic defects by applying a thin layer of composite to the surface of the teeth.

Using bonding, the UNIDENT UNION team®:

  • Eliminates diastemas, or trephines between the upper incisors;
  • Eliminates the sparsity of the dentition in the smile zone;
  • Overbuilds and masks mechanical damage to the teeth (chipping, cracks) in the aesthetic zone;
  • Unifies the enamel and lightens the colour of teeth in the smile zone (discolouration, enamel anomalies) so-called composite veneers, bond veneers;
  • It corrects the shape of the teeth visible in the smile to give the face a more harmonious appearance.

The new generation of composite materials fuses tightly to the enamel solely by means of adhesive force,no need to drillThe bonding of the tooth to the enamel requires the creation of abutments, not to mention more invasive forms of bonding such as periapical studs. A gentle etching of the tooth surface to remove the acquired casing is all that is required to bond the Bond to the enamel.

Next-generation bonding:

  • It does not absorb pigments from food as easily;
  • It does not yellow as quickly as its predecessors;
  • Its polishability makes it possible to achieve a perfectly smooth surface, imitating the enamel of natural teeth;
  • The colour and transparency of modern composites perfectly mimic the appearance of your own teeth.

NOTE!

Composite veneers and superstructures are permanent as long as the patient does not suffer from bruxism, or habitual teeth grinding. Before applying bonding the doctor carefully checks the occlusion and temporomandibular joints to eliminate this contraindication or apply parallel treatment bruxism (special splints worn overnight that change the Patient's habits and protect the teeth from further decalcification). During the consultation, the doctor will ask about behaviours that are contraindications for tooth veneering (such as biting nails, biting pencils, glasses frames, etc.).

CONTOURING

The one-step smile makeover combines bonding with tooth CONTURING. The procedure, which is carried out directly in the dental chair, involves the dentist grinding away a small amount of excess enamel to give the teeth a more harmonious appearance. This models the length and shape of the teeth. Through contouring, small defects are corrected or completely removed. The cosmetic effect is achieved in complete safety of the enamel; the specialists know exactly how much excess can be ground off to achieve an improved appearance.

With the help of contouring, among other things:

  • Soften the smile line, i.e. improve the shape and course of the incisal edge line in the maxilla and mandible (overly pointed canines, overly convex veneers of canines and premolars, overly pointed cusps of premolars, rounding of overly angular incisal edges of incisors);
  • Eliminate the reverse smile line;
  • Reduce the disproportion between individual teeth;
  • Negate subtle rotations.

To contour the teeth, dentists use diamond drills, abrasive discs, so-called soflexes and finirs, as well as diamond strips and polishing pastes. The contouring technique is safe for the teeth, as the shape correction takes place exclusively within the enamel.
