For many clinics, bonding is just a quick method of improving the aesthetics of the smile. At Unident Union®, bonding is much more than that - it is a treatment philosophy that has been developed for over 25 years, even before it was widely spoken of in Poland. It is one of those branches of dentistry that we have been consistently improving for years, treating it not only as an aesthetic solution for correcting the shape or colour of teeth, but also as a key element of complex orthodontic and prosthetic therapies.
At Unident Union® bonding has two faces:
Bonding in our performance is the precise reconstruction of the shape, proportion and harmony of the smile. It is work on the highest quality new generation composites, taking into account the principles of facial aesthetics, Smile Arc, tooth exposure and occlusal function. It is a conscious use of the possibilities of modern dentistry in the hands of experienced dentist-artists.
Recognition of the Patient's expectations based on the interview. Discussion of possible effects and limitations of bonding. Clinical examination with assessment of enamel, gingival and occlusal conditions. Tooth diagnostics for caries and mechanical damage and discolouration. Determination of the extent of bonding and colour selection of composite veneers. Photographs for documentation and evaluation of effects.
Hygienization with scaling, sandblasting and polishing of the tooth surface in preparation for bonding with composite. Depending on the indication, minimal preparation of the enamel, i.e. matting of the tooth surface. In non-prep techniques, we omit this step. In cases requiring major corrections (e.g. restoration of teeth after trauma) filling or reconstruction of the missing structure.
After etching the enamel and applying the bonding system, the dentist proceeds to precisely model the composite veneers using the free-hand method. Directly in the dental chair, he applies high-quality composite materials in selected shades to the patient's teeth in layers. In this way, he creates perfectly adapted tooth shapes: he restores missing fragments, closes diastemas, gives teeth new proportions, lengthens or widens them, achieving the desired smile architecture.
To adjust the occlusion, the composite restorations are then checked for occlusal contacts. For a perfect shine that faithfully mimics natural enamel, the bonding is polished with dozens of diamond cutters, erasers and polishes. The final assessment of the results involves comparing the new smile with the patient's plan and expectations. The final stage involves taking final photographs for documentation.
We recommend a first follow-up visit after 6-12 months to assess the durability of the bonding and regular hygienization to maintain the aesthetics of the composite restorations. The patient is also given post-operative recommendations and rules for bonding care.

Smile metamorphosis with composite veneers, or bonding, is one of the fastest procedures in cosmetic dentistry. Apart from the first visit, during which we diagnose the condition of your teeth and plan the procedure, the entire process takes place in a single visit. Right in the dental chair, the dentist precisely shapes the composite veneers after preparing the enamel.
Although bonding is a quick solution, this does not mean that the procedure takes just a moment. Precise moulding and fine-tuning of every detail require time, which depends on the extent of the metamorphosis.
When planning a bonding treatment at Unident Union Wrocław, it is advisable to reserve enough time. When booking your appointment, we will let you know how long the treatment will take in your case so that you can plan your day accordingly.
Bonding, also known as composite veneers, is long-lasting, but this depends on three elements: the quality of the material, the skill of the dentist and the patient's attention to oral hygiene. It usually lasts 5-8 years as long as it is regularly serviced, polished and cleaned. Over time it can of course become abraded, discoloured and cracked, which can often be repaired. Bonding will last shorter in the mouth in people who have harmful habits, i.e. parafunctions such as pencil biting or nail biting. Biting into hard nuts, munching popcorn, etc. does not serve the purpose. Bonding made of high-quality composite materials tarnishes more slowly and is more difficult to discolour, and if cleaned regularly, maintains a beautiful appearance for years.
This is one of the advantages of bonding, that it allows us to repair minor damage such as chipping, chipping or discolouration. In the case of minor mechanical damage, we carry out a repair procedure. This involves cleaning the tooth surface, applying a new layer of composite and curing it with a polymerisation lamp. In this way, slightly damaged bonding does not require the replacement of the entire restoration and the patient can quickly return to normal function. If the composite veneers discolour over time, the Patient makes an appointment at Unident Union Wrocław for a hygienization appointment to remove deposits combined with polishing.
The performance of composite veneers is completely painless and does not require anaesthesia. This is perhaps one of the reasons why bonding is one of the most frequently chosen methods for improving the aesthetics of the smile. In most cases, everything is even done without the use of a drill or, if you need to 'make' space for bonding or to even out asymmetries, with minimal interference with the enamel structure. Anaesthesia is not necessary as we do not disturb the deeper layers of the teeth, which could cause pain. Also, curing the composite with the light of the polymerisation lamp does not cause any discomfort.
Therefore, bonding is one of the least invasive methods of aesthetic smile makeover. In addition, in the case of tooth sensitivity, bonding can reduce unpleasant sensations, as it protects the surface of the teeth.
