Why adult treatment can't look like adolescent treatment?

In an adult patient, every millimetre matters. Teeth are often worn down, weakened, discoloured, displaced by bruxism or years of improper bite. The bone is less flexible, the tissues react differently. Then there are restorations, crowns, fillings - the whole story that the dentition carries. This is why adult orthodontics needs to be: - subtle - interdisciplinary planning - not compromising the integrity of the teeth - tailored to the future of the patient's face, not just the dental arch What is considered 'difficult cases' in other surgeries simply has its own logic and way with us.

Why don't we treat extraction?

Extractions in adults are most often an attempt to 'make space' rather than trying to understand why that space is missing. Extraction is: - retraction of the profile - collapse of the lip area - sad face effect - rapid ageing of the features - risk of temporomandibular joint disorders - loss of muscle and tongue support This is not in line with either my philosophy or my facial biology. Our role is not to remove teeth. Our role is to restore the proportions, rebuild what has been lost and allow the teeth to take their natural place.

Why don't we operate on borderline patients?

Borderline patients are the group to whom other doctors most often propose orthognathic surgery. In our case - in 90% cases - there is no need for it. Why? Because the adult patient has the capacity to compensate, which is: - mild - effective - predictable Modern orthodontics does not have to lead to the operating theatre. Retention - a stage that others talk about too little

Removing the camera does not end the process. It is only the beginning of stabilisation.
