All-ceramic porcelain bridges
All-ceramic porcelain bridges - aesthetic tooth restoration at Unident Union® in Wrocław
Missing teeth are not only an aesthetic problem, but above all a functional one. They affect the bite, facial features, the way we speak and the quality of the lives.
At the clinic Unident Union® in Wrocław restores lost teeth with all-ceramic porcelain bridges as an alternative to implants or as a restoration within a larger restoration.
It is a durable, natural and precisely tailored solution - in both the aesthetic and lateral zones.
What is a porcelain bridge?
A prosthetic bridge is a permanent restoration that allows missing teeth to be restored by resting the structure on neighbouring teeth (known as pillars) or implants.
The bridge consists of:
- pillar crowns - placed on natural teeth or on implants,
- bays - i.e. an artificial tooth (or teeth) to restore missing areas.
W Unident Union® we make all-ceramic bridges - without metal, with materials of the class premium (E.max, zircon).
For whom is the porcelain bridge?
The porcelain bridge is recommended for patients who:
- have single or multiple missing teeth,
- do not want or are unable to opt for implants,
- have healthy, stable adjacent teeth that can act as pillars,
- expect a durable and aesthetically pleasing solution,
- want to avoid partial or removable dentures.
It is a solution that works well in both the aesthetic and lateral zones - provided the treatment is carefully planned.
Types of porcelain bridges carried out at Unident Union®
1. classic all-ceramic bridges (on own teeth or implants)
- Fixed on polished pillar teeth or implant abutments.
- They require minimal preparation of adjacent teeth or prior implant placement.
- Ideal for restoring 1-3 gaps in the dental arch.
- Aesthetic, durable, airtight, comfortable.
2. adhesive bridges (Maryland)
- In other words: bridges without grinding the teeth.
- Attached to the posterior surface of adjacent teeth with special zirconia or metal wings.
- They do not disturb the structure of the enamel - an ideal transitional or semi-permanent solution.
- Most commonly used when a single tooth is missing in the aesthetic section.
3. implant-supported bridges (all-ceramic)
- Bridge span fixed exclusively on implants.
- The entire structure is stable, fixed in bone - no natural teeth involved.
- Allows the restoration of extensive missing teeth (even entire arches).
Note: At Unident Union® we do not bridge natural teeth and implants
In our clinic, we do not use prosthetic solutions in which a single bridge rests on natural teeth and implants at the same time.
Why?
- The natural tooth is suspended from the periodontal ligaments - it has physiological mobility,
- The implant is permanently fused to the bone - it is rigid, immovable,
- The combination of these two elements in a single design causes strains and overloads,
- This can lead to loosening and loss of the natural tooth,
- Therefore, in Unident Union® we never combine teeth with implants in a single bridge - in line with global best practice and biomechanical principles.
What is the process of making a porcelain bridge?
1. Consultation and digital diagnostics
2. Wax-up i mock-up - the new smile project
3. preparation of pillar teeth (if applicable) or planning of implants
4. digital scan and forward the project to the laboratory
5. temporary bridge (if required)
6. fitting and cementing of the final bridge
