Did anyone realise that orthodontics could solve so many adult problems?
- With the help of orthodontics, we treat periodontopathies that are a consequence of malocclusion. Diagnosis of the causes of periodontal disorders is carried out in our OCCUPATION TREATMENT CENTRE during the consultation.
- Braces and special malocclusion treatment techniques oftenprepare adult patients for implant placement, especially in the case of so-called late implantation. (See: Preimplantation orthodontics)
- Orthodontics also prepares adults for prosthetic treatment when there has been a change in the height of the stenosis and an abnormal occlusion due to incorrect prosthetic work or missing teeth that have not been filled in time. (See: Pre-prosthetic orthodontics)
- Orthodontic treatment of adults is often necessary because of theincorrect dental fillings, so-called fillingswhich, when they are too flat and do not reconstruct the dental cusps, also lead to a lowering of the occlusion height. The treatment consists of the application of braces in parallel with the correct reconstruction of the teeth with fillings that recreate the anatomical architecture of the teeth, allowing them to properly occlude in the triads. In addition, when the occlusal changes have led to clasping of the anterior teeth, the therapy requires bonding of these teeth as well. (See:Bonding)
- The restoration of the correct height of the occlusion, as well as frequent expansion of the dental arches and harmonious alignment of the teeth, is our way of naturallyą and permanent improvement in appearance without a scalpel. By restoring the correct bite, patients regain a happy facial expression, without drooping corners, a tendency to develop nasolabial furrows and drooping cheek skin folds.
